Christine has been a regular presenter at the Redbank School Conference over the
last 6 years. She consistently ranks as one of most popular presenters and has
scored an astonishing 9.7 / 10 as her average mark from over 900 delegates. Her
practical management advice is deeply embedded in robust theory and presented in
such an absorbing, entertaining and fun way that I have found myself hanging off
her every word. I thoroughly recommend Christine as an exceptional presenter,
and as one who is likely to effect real change within a school. She's a gem.

Dr Christine Richmond has been presenting in association with Scholastic
Seminars since 2005. Christine is truly an inspirational educator. Her passion
for teaching shines through her seminar presentations, which are brimming with
energy and humour. The delegate feedback received from her seminars is
extraordinary. Teachers comment that they leave her seminars feeling energized
and motivated to implement the many practical strategies shared. Many state that
it is the most insightful and effective professional development they have
attended.

Christine Richmond is a dynamic and energetic presenter who is able to distil
evidence based research into an engaging and powerful message for educators,
parents and other professionals working in the field of education. Christine was
recently the keynote presenter at the Mater Dei special education conference
held for educators from across NSW and she did an outstanding job. Her address
was excellent as it presented very complex concepts in a practical and easily
understood manner and it left people feeling both empowered and motivated to
apply the ideas presented. The feedback that we have received on Christine’s
keynote address and the workshops she presented was excellent, with many
delegates nominating her as the outstanding speaker at the conference. I was
delighted with Christine’s presentation, her wonderful manner and the
professional way in which she undertook her work at this conference. We
certainly hope to work with Christine Richmond in the future.

Christine Richmond has been working with the College Leadership Team and Staff
of Southern Cross Catholic College since late 2007, providing both consultancy
and professional development. Christine’s minimalist approach to Behaviour
Management suits our Vision for Learning perfectly, and she has been able to
support staff in understanding how the application of a balance between
acknowledgement and correction will assist in the increase of learning
conversations occurring in the classroom. The challenge of producing a Student
Behaviour Support Plan and consistency in Behaviour Management across four
campuses has been eased by Christine’s extensive expertise and experience.
Christine’s manner with staff is always highly professional whilst reflecting
her delightful sense of humour and infinite understanding of the difficult
nature of a teacher’s role. In fact, having Christine work with staff on the
first day of the new school year leaves staff eager to begin teaching and meet
their new classes. Southern Cross Catholic College is committed to an ongoing
relationship with Richmond Educational Consultants and looks forward to sharing
the future with Christine.

Christine Richmond has worked with staff in the Archdiocese of Canberra and
Goulburn for over a decade in the area of supporting students with significant
social and emotional needs. Her professional work is very well received by
school executive and staff. Christine enthuses staff to respond to complex
issues by using a sound research base and affirming the range of practices that
members of staff use well. She has exceptional skill in suggesting and honing
behaviour management strategies for staff. She is deft and succinct in
describing human complexity in a distinctly hopeful way. Working with Christine
opens both the heart and mind in making a better day in schools. Even the most
dour and stern pedagogue will be found laughing frequently, invariably at
themselves!

Following are anonymous, unsolicited testimonials that have been provided by

- Christine, your presentation and energy were truly inspiring. You modelled not only your ideas clearly and succinctly, but demonstrated what I see as the ultimate teaching style. Just observing how you taught was just as valuable as what you taught. Thank you for sharing your gifts.
- Wonderfully entertaining and practical.
- Christine, thank you for a wonderful day. I was totally enthralled with your presentation. You made me laugh at things that I can feel very stressed about and I hope to take your enthusiasm and a snippet of your incredible expertise and knowledge with me. Again, thank you.
- Thank you for an excellent workshop. I was reluctant to come but the day was very worthwhile. I will go away with revised strategies to help some very reluctant learners.
- The PD was very well done and incredibly interesting and entertaining. Great presentation.
- Thanks Christine – it was excellent, informative and thought provoking.
- A brilliant day. I have heard Christine before and couldn’t wait to hear her again.
- Where were you during my years at uni? If all lecturers approached teaching with the enthusiasm, clarity and minimalist attitude I would have learnt a lot more practical things to apply to my classroom. Thank you, best PD yet.
- You are a wonderful presenter, with a great sense of humour!
- Very entertaining and insightful. Today put everything into perspective. Thank you very much.

- Hi Christine, the content and your presentation style captivated all of us. Where do you get your energy from? You provided solid, down to earth, practical information about models and key minimalist strategies. Congratulations on a job exceptionally well done! Thanks so much!!!
- Your passion and enthusiasm and your refreshing approach has inspired me. The seminar was entertaining, practical and easy to understand. Thank you.
- Love your energy (and envy it!). You are inspirational and have revived me. Many thanks.
- Practical and meaningful. Your love and respect for children and learning was clear. And of course – entertaining! Thanks Christine.
- I really enjoyed the seminar. It was good to recognise all the things I do well as a teacher and the areas I could improve on (and now identify). The thing I found interesting though was when I walked in the door I saw Jim Richmond (who I assume is your husband). Well, I’m sure you’re getting all sorts of wonderful praise on these feedback forms so I’d like to give a little to Jim. I was in a few of his science classes (about 4 years ago) and found him to be a wonderful teacher. I have since had a couple of prac teachers who also regard Jim highly. What a difference both of you are making to us as teachers (and teachers in training) and the students we teach!
- You are truly an inspiration! Some wonderful ideas on ways to arrange students more effectively. Your energy and enthusiasm is contagious!
- You are absolutely fantastic! Made the day interesting and entertaining as well as giving me some practical information and tips to take away and use. I wish the day was longer so you could have passed on even more of your knowledge!!
- An excellent presentation that energized and motivated and gave me practical examples and advice. Thankyou!
- Fantastic! Humorous and all information relevant to experiences in class. Kept me engaged throughout the entire day. Really a treat, both insightful and rewarding.
- This has been a most wonderful, memorable day. Christine has really inspired me and it has been the best presentation I have ever attended, to the point where stopping for lunch was disappointing though I understand Christine needed a break/nourishment!
- I enjoyed your seminar immensely. I am so glad that I had the chance to attend.
- Absolutely fantastic – entertaining presentation and so totally RELEVANT – should be presented to ever teacher, particularly to those just starting out. I have learnt today that I am already doing the right things but will be able to improve the way I use the strategies. Thankyou and congratulations!
- Fantastic presentation. As a first year out teacher, it has been really beneficial for me. It has given me confidence in some things I’ve implemented in the classroom and helped me to laugh at myself at some other things I’ve done.
